Your wedding day is probably going to be the biggest day of your life. With wedding planning comes lots of stress, even if you’ve got a wedding planner to do most of the work for you. One of the biggest things to decide is the wedding venue. Many couples are left wondering where on earth they should get married, and since there are so many different venues to choose from, things can get a little difficult. Here are some of the most unique wedding venue ideas.
- A castle
There are many castles around the world that are available to hire for weddings. If you’ve always dreamed of acting like a medieval king or queen and tying the knot in a beautiful place that has existed for hundreds of years, there’s no better destination.
- On the beach
While most people might get married in a church, some of us would much rather soak up the sun and enjoy the sound of the rolling waves as we say our wedding vows. You can get married on the beautiful beaches of Australia, which makes the coastal lines some of the most popular wedding venues in Melbourne.
- In the garden
If your garden is large enough, there’s no reason why you can’t get married at home. Even if you have a small garden, you can still hold your wedding ceremony there as long as there is enough room for all of your guests to attend.
- At a football stadium
For the sports fans, getting married at a football stadium is a dream come true. If you plan it at the right time or contact the stadium beforehand, you might even be able to arrange to meet some of your favourite players or have a behind the scenes tour of the venue.
- The place you met
If you want to be extremely romantic and you don’t have any special venues in mind that you want to get married in, why not have your wedding back at the place you first met? Of course, this isn’t always a viable option, but if you met in a restaurant, hall, park or other appropriate venue, arranging to have your wedding there could be a great idea and will have everyone crying a few extra tears.
- Under the water
There are certain places where you can arrange to have your wedding underwater. This isn’t necessarily everybody’s idea of a great wedding, but if you’re looking for something very unique and different, this could be the option for you. You’ll probably never meet another person who had their wedding while emerged under the sea!
- In the air
You can arrange to have your wedding in a hot air balloon, helicopter or other aircraft. It all depends how unique and daring you want to be with your wedding, but if you want some great photographs, stories to tell the kids and memories that will stay with you forever, it doesn’t get much better than this.
